Friedrich Nietzsche
フリードリヒ・ニーチェ（1844年～1900年）
ドイツの哲学者、古典文献学者。
1844年10月15日、プロイセン王国領プロヴィンツ・ザクセンに生まれる。
父はルター派の牧師で裕福な家庭環境に育つ。5歳のときに父が早世したが、音楽と国語の才能を認められて名門校に特待生として入学。
卒業後はボン大学へ進学して神学と古典文献学を学び始めるが、直ぐに信仰を放棄して神学の勉強も止めることになる。
1869年、ニーチェは博士号も教員資格も取得していなかったが、その類まれな優秀さによって、24歳でバーゼル大学から古典文献学の教授として招聘される。その際にプロイセン国籍を放棄して終生無国籍者として生きることとなる。
ニーチェはギリシア哲学やショーペンハウアーなどから強く影響を受け、鋭い批評眼で西洋文明を革新的に解釈した。実存主義の先駆者、または生の哲学の哲学者とされる。
